Clinical Approach

Hey there! My name is Sean, and I am so happy you are here! As I believe we are all unique in some way, I also believe how we all then respond to counseling is just as particular. So, I focus on who I am working with before committing to how I approach our time together. Although I lean toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed, Psychodynamic, and DBT aspects, my integrative lens promotes tailoring to fit your needs (individual, cultural, systemic, etc.). I am currently exploring trauma-informed approaches and crisis management.

I support individuals, primarily young/middle-aged adults and teens, navigating mood disorders, suicidal ideation, complex trauma, and anxiety/depression. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals from marginalized communities, including Black/African American identities, those involved in the criminal justice system, and neurodivergent populations (Autism/Down Syndrome). I have strong clinical interest in supporting those experiencing self-harm, higher acuity, and personality struggles.

I am committed to authenticity and genuine care, creating a compassionate, collaborative space where you can feel safe to explore, grow, and find your voice through real, approachable communication. In my free time, I love to watch spooky movies and listen to music! Fun fact: I'm a twin! Please feel free to reach out, and I cannot wait to go on this ride together!
