Clinical Approach

Hello! My name is Robyn and I'm so glad you found me. I believe that each client is the expert on their own life! The space in our sessions is yours to make it whatever you need it to be. I am more than happy to discuss anything that feels important to you, and explore all of the identities that you may have. I strive to make my therapy room a safe space for you to be your most authentic self. Everyone is welcome here. There is always hope and I would be honored to be your advocate. I believe that you are your own hero and I am here to help guide you on your life's journey! There is always a solution to every problem, and there is always hope.

The foundation for my approach to therapy is Person-Centered Theory. I like to use an integrated method and also include aspects of TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Multicultural Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and EMDR for Trauma (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I also enjoy incorporating other activities into my sessions if you choose to, such as going outside for a walk, listening to music, creating art, or playing games. I have experience with children doing play therapy in the past, but currently I am focusing on speciality areas like relationships, interpersonal communication, sexual assault and domestic violence, and PTSD. I specialize in supporting my clients with the unique societal pressures that impact their specific gender. I also enjoy leading women's groups.
