Clinical Approach
I am a Colorado born-and-raised art therapist and counselor who supports individuals across the lifespan. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore and process their emotions and experiences through the healing power of art, storytelling, and play (child-centered play therapy). My approach is humanistic, holistic, and trauma-informed, grounded in a deep belief in each person’s capacity for healing and growth. I see my role as a witness, listener, advocate, and guide, supporting clients as they make sense of their experiences and move toward greater connection with themselves and others.
While I specialize in working with children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, I enjoy supporting individuals of all ages. My clinical experience also includes working with grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, neurodivergence, and behavioral concerns. I draw on the neuroscience of trauma and attachment while recognizing that our experiences are held not only in our minds but also in our bodies. For this reason, therapy with me may incorporate creative expression, sand tray, mindfulness, and other body-centered approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I believe art can be a powerful source of healing and regulation, offering a way to express and hold experiences that may be difficult to put into words. No artistic experience or talent is necessary to benefit from art therapy—just a willingness to explore, create, and discover what feels meaningful to you.
