Clinical Approach

Howdy, and welcome.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I know that reaching out for help can feel like a big step. If you’re here, you’ve already done something important. You’ve started moving toward change, growth, and healing.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults, with a special passion for helping children navigate big emotions, behavioral challenges, anxiety, life transitions, and family stressors. Children often communicate through play long before they can fully express what they’re feeling with words, and I strive to create a space where they can feel safe, understood, and free to be themselves. Whether we’re building, creating, imagining, exploring, or simply talking, I believe meaningful growth happens when clients feel accepted exactly as they are.

My counseling approach is grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who to be or what to do, but to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself and discover the strengths you already possess. I take a client-centered approach and draw from a variety of therapeutic perspectives to tailor counseling to each individual’s unique needs and goals.

A little about me outside of the counseling office: you’ll often find me exploring the outdoors, riding my bike, getting lost in a good book, or spending time with my cats. I’m also a bit of a coffee enthusiast, so I can probably spend an unreasonable amount of time talking about the best way to brew a cup of coffee. While I work with serious emotions, I don’t believe therapy always has to feel serious. Sometimes healing happens through curiosity, creativity, laughter, imagination, and maybe even a toy dinosaur or two.

I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your journey. Let’s take the next step together, one conversation, one adventure, and one day at a time.
