Clinical Approach

Hi, I’m Kalyssa and I’m so glad you’re here! I believe we heal and grow through feeling understood and accepted as well as understanding and accepting ourselves. I believe there's no one “right” way to be human, and therapy should reflect that. I prioritize a collaborative, integrative, identity affirming approach to therapy that aligns with your experiences, goals, and needs. My work is grounded in person-centered and identity-affirming care, drawing from Relational Cultural Theory, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Somatic approaches, Child-Centered Play Therapy, and trauma-informed practices.

I enjoy working across the lifespan and have supported children, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, mood disorders, trauma, and life transitions. I incorporate neurodiversity affirming child centered play therapy techniques and creative expression to foster emotional expression, connection, and healing with kids and teens.

Therapy with me is a space to slow down, make sense of what you're feeling, and show up as you are without pressure to have everything figured out. If you are looking for thoughtful, affirming support I’d be honored to connect.
