"Your story holds culture, resilience, identity, relationships, and everything that has shaped who you are. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to minimize, translate, or explain away any part of yourself. If you connect with this, then here is a little bit more info about how I conduct my sessions.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that healing cannot be separated from culture, identity, relationships, history, and the systems we move through every day. I see therapy as a collaborative space where every part of you is welcome; not just the parts that feel easy to explain. We can utilize art, games, toys, storytelling, music, and your interests in our sessions!
I’m especially passionate about women’s experiences, multicultural identity, life transitions, and the ways power, culture, family, and social expectations shape how we understand ourselves. I bring a holistic, social-justice-oriented lens to my work and often incorporate expressive approaches such as art, play, storytelling, and creativity. Sometimes the things we carry are deeper than words, and I believe therapy can make room for those parts too. My goal is not to tell clients who they should become, but to walk alongside them as they reconnect with their voice, meaning, strength, and sense of self.
Outside of therapy, I’m usually spending time with my family, trying a new restaurant, or falling down a rabbit hole learning about whatever has caught my attention that week. In my free time, you’ll probably find me playing video games, watching a good movie, or singing off-key at a concert. Thank you for reading this, and I hope we get to connect soon!"
