Clinical Approach

I believe that change... although painful and challenging at times, is the only consistent thing about life. Our ability to acclimate to change is vital, although not easy. My personal belief is that EVERYONE has the innate capacity for change and growth, even through life's toughest curve balls!

I hold a firm belief that the client is the expert, as they have lived and lead their own lives. Paying respect to that, I conceptualize my role as a counselor based on a philosophy that it is crucial the counselor focuses on providing an EMPATHIC & GENUINE foundation for the client and therapist relationship to build upon.

This authentic counseling environment allows clients to grow and connect on a more profound and meaningful level. Connecting and changing negative influences in their lives. As a result of this growth, clients increase their ability to cope through hard times, and develop a better understanding and appreciation of their self, and feelings.
