Clinical Approach
Hey, I'm Jessica! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), Wisconsin native, nature-lover, performing artist, and new therapist here at Forge Counseling Collective. With a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Utah and a dual Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University, my goal is to blend creativity and therapeutic insight into my practice.
I support children and adults of all ages, utilizing creative modalities to foster positive relationships, improve self-esteem, align actions with values, explore identity, and enhance self-expression. I believe that telling our stories is profoundly empowering in personal and relational growth. As a clinician, I strive to create a supportive and nurturing environment where clients feel truly heard and are encouraged to take hold of their own unique narratives. My approach includes creative exploration with drawing, painting, sculpting, body-based practices, music, and creative writing. Don’t worry! No artistic experience or ability is needed for this process!
In addition to expressive modalities, my approach integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative therapy, all through a client-centered, humanistic, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive lens. This combination of evidence-based and experiential perspectives allows me to address the diverse needs of individuals, meeting each client where they are on their own personal journeys.
Outside of my professional life, I relish exploring Colorado’s breathtaking landscapes, hiking, performing, going to concerts, and engaging in creative pursuits with my loving partner. I am thrilled to contribute to Forge Counseling Collective’s mission of fostering growth and healing in our community. Let’s get creative!
