Clinical Approach

I work with adults, adolescents, and children who are in need of a safe space to process past or current struggles in life. The client determines how quickly we work towards positive change, and I strive to provide a healing and validating presence. I will be authentic and empathic in my interactions with you, and we may even have some fun along the way!

I firmly believe that you are the expert in your life. While I can and will share what I know if I think it might help you, I look forward to helping you connect more with yourself. I believe we each have an innate intuitive voice inside that can direct us towards healing, and I look forward to helping you notice and listen to yours.

In addition to individual counseling, I also provide supervision to counselors working towards licensure, and research consultation to those working on research studies, manuscripts, or dissertations.

Areas in which I have a particular interest or additional training include working with LGBTQIA+ clients, child-centered play therapy, TF-CBT for children, and Relational-Cultural Therapy.
