Clinical Approach

I am a person-centered therapist and love using people’s strengths to help them move towards their goals. I have learned through life and experience that change comes from within and believe that people have all that they need within themselves to heal. As a therapist, my role is to serve as a guide through teaching skills and providing a safe space that allows people access the healing and wholeness that they already have inside.

I believe that the client-therapist relationship is one of the most important parts of therapy. I strive to build meaningful therapeutic connections with anyone I’m working with. If you’re my client, I see you as your own “co-therapist” and I try to make therapy a collaborative process..

I love working with people of all ages and will work with children as young as 3 years old. I have experience working with kids, pre-teens, adolescents, adults, and couples. I am a trauma-focused therapist and the primary modalities that I use in therapy include Child-Centered Play Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I also incorporate Sand Tray Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness and meditation, creative arts, and TF-CBT into the therapy I do with clients.
