Clinical Approach

I believe each person is wholly and wonderfully unique: from strengths, values, and identities to needs, questions, and challenges. These parts of who we are can ebb and flow, grow or evolve with each new chapter of our lives. Sometimes, these changes can be uncomfortable, frightening, or overwhelming. Seeking therapy that supports all that you are, wherever you are in your life story, is powerful. I am honored to share this time with you.

I held many roles before finding my place in counseling: outdoor guide; reading teacher; artist volunteer. Now, I incorporate my favorite qualities of each into my practice. I provide a person-centered approach grounded in an existential, constructivist orientation. I enjoy incorporating strengths-based, narrative, and expressive techniques for clients of all ages. I also offer play therapy for child clients. I am particularly passionate about supporting clients who are navigating grief/loss; religious and/or spiritual exploration or trauma; and major life transitions.
