Clinical Approach
Hello!
If you're reading this, you're likely somewhere in the process of finding a therapist, which is so often the worst part of therapy (ugh, I know). It's tedious, and doing it anyway is a radical act of hope.
I love to think of counseling as a deeply creative process where we explore together to find new ways of approaching old (and new) problems. It can be a brave space where we sit together through life’s suffering, and it can also be genuinely fun place where we celebrate your wins. I grew up across three countries (the US, Colombia, and Ecuador), and this lived experience drives my commitment to offering culturally responsive therapy that honors your unique story
My counseling approach is rooted in depth psychology—making the unconscious conscious—while also drawing from practical tools like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative therapy, and Attachment theory, depending on your needs and goals. And though not exclusively, I'm glad to work with neurodivergence, queer folx, women’s and men’s issues, life transitions, and trauma. I’m also a big believer in maintenance therapy for those who are simply looking for a steady, supportive space to navigate the ups and downs of daily life.
More than anything, I hope you look back on our work together as a part of the foundation for whatever comes next. I can’t wait to meet you.
