Clinical Approach

“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct.”- Carl Jung

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I work with all ages and stages. I have worked with children and families for over 20 years, and my greatest joy is found in being a “helper.” Registered Play Therapist (RPT), means that I have a specialty in play therapy. If you decide that I am the right fit for your family, you’ll pretty quickly feel the playful nature of my therapeutic approach. I believe that play keeps us young and helps us to look at life’s problems with fresh eyes. In my office, it’s common for you to find stuffed animals, fidgets, bubbles, and various other cool playthings…

That doesn’t mean I don’t take pain and difficulty seriously. Sitting with people as they process pain is serious work. I will honor your strength and bravery in taking the step to reach out and begin that journey. You know more about the way through the problem than you think you do, and you have more strength to do it than you realize.
